Jan 2024 - Present
I returned to Shopify as a senior front-end developer. I contribute to the New Customer Accounts platform as well as its component library, while promoting best practices in accessibility.
Apr 2023 - Oct 2023
I joined the Hopper for Business team as a senior front-end developer and played a significant part in various projects within two multi-tenant monorepos powered by Turbo and Nx and using frameworks such as Next.js, Vite, MUI, Playwright and MSW. This included contributing to the development of the admin portal as well as the booking portal for flights and hotels. Additionally, I was involved in creating an authentication flow that supported both of these portals, along with a marketing website made with Webflow.
Despite successfully launching each project within just six months, I was unfortunately part of a major layoff.
Jul 2022 - Mar 2023
I worked at Meta as a senior front-end developer on the Commerce Insights team. I contributed to the Facebook & Instagram app on Shopify, where we built three new cards showing different insights. For each card, I created dashboards and alerts in order to monitor their health and performance. I fixed different types of issues (responsiveness, i18n, a11y...) in the Commerce Manager and Ads Manager platforms. I also helped to improve the test coverage by sharing testing best practices and implementing new e2e tests.
I received a positive review from my manager; however, I decided to leave Meta because I didn't resonate with their remote culture.
Apr 2019 - Jun 2022
I worked at Shopify in their Montreal office then remotely after COVID. I contributed to merchant facing experiences (Shopify Admin, Polaris design system) and buyer facing experiences (Customer Accounts) while acting as an accessibility advocate within my team. I mentored developers via code reviews and pair programming. I also championed projects with multidisciplinary teams.
I really enjoyed working at Shopify, but I decided to try new things after receiving my Permanent Residency.
Jul 2017 - Apr 2019
I worked at Ubisoft Montreal in Canada as a web developer for almost two years. My main activity was to maintain and develop features for the Ubisoft Club single-page application on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. I also have created a Progressive Web App used to easily develop internal tools. Plus I have worked on web views that summarize your Club progression visible from the main menu of Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey.
I left Ubisoft in order to join a company that would be Web focused.
Sep 2013 - Feb 2017
After I graduated, I have worked as a web developer for two years at Asiance, a digital agency located in Seoul. I also have worked in Tokyo as a web developer for two digital agencies. I initially joined Netwise for eight months and then I worked at Cream for roughly one year. During my time in Asia I've contributed to roughly 30 web applications and responsive websites for worldwide clients such as Lacoste or Air France.
